The former Black Galaxies attacker has rejoined the Kumasi-based outfit for the remainder of the 2025–26 season's campaign.

Ghana Premier League heavyweights Asante Kotoko have announced the signing of their former striker Albert Amoah on a loan deal from Libyan side Al Ahly Bengarzy.

The Porcupine Warriors have beefed up their attack for the second stanza of the season with the acquisition of the 24-year-old forward after a three-month spell in the North African country.

The club's official statement on Amoah's return reads: “Asante Kotoko SC is pleased to announce the return of forward Albert Amoah on loan from Ahly Bengarzy.”

Al Ahly Bengarzy signed the former Great Olympics talismanic forward from Asante Kotoko in October 2025 for transfer fee of $200,000. He was sold after Asante Kotoko's CAF Confederation Cup campaign was ended by Moroccan side Wydad AC.

However, the 24-year-old failed to live up to expectations and struggled for playing time at Al Ahly Beghazi. He was absent from the club's match-day squad in the five matches played in this season's campaign.

The management of Al Ahly Beghazi exercised the option to loan him back to the Ghanaian side for the remainder of the season.

Amoah became an instant performer for the Porcupine Warriors, having arrived from Olympics in 2024 where he ended the 2024–25 season's campaign as the club's top scorer with 15 goals in 29 matches across all competitions.

He played an instrumental role in the club's FA Cup triumph last season by notching up three goals in four matches.

Amoah netted four goals in six matches for Asante Kotoko in this season's campaign where he scored twice against Kwara United in the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round.
