Board member of Hearts of Oak, Alhaji Akambi has admitted their performance against Medeama S.C over the weekend was really abysmal and is very surprised with how they played.
The 'Phobians' got dismantled by the current league leaders by 1-5 in front of their own fans last Sunday in GPL match-week 31.
On Oyerepa FM last Tuesday, Akambi stated they fulfilled all needs of the team and are giving them everything at it best but still can't fathom the reasons behind their defeat.
“I still can’t believe it and couldn’t believe it yesterday…As a board member, we have done everything needed of us and we are still doing everything the team needs."
“The players didn’t do well. I don’t know what happened but this is not how they play. To be honest with you, they did not play well."
David Ocloo's men after the loss have now dropped to the 8th position on the table with 45 points and will face Legon Cities in the next round of matches.
