Ghanaian champions Asante Kotoko have been named the team of the year at the 2022 Ghana Football Awards.

The Porcupine Warriors had been without the Ghana Premier League trophy for almost seven years but finally ended the long standing hoodoo this year. 

The 'Kum Apem' lads out of the total 34 matches, recorded 19 wins, eleven at home and eight away wins. They drew ten and lost five, having amassed 67 points at the end of the season.
