Ghanaian champions Asante Kotoko have scheduled a four high level friendly matches they will engage themselves into during their preseason tour in Sudan.
The Porcupine Warriors left the shores of Ghana on Sunday afternoon for a ten-day preseason in Sudan after their planned pre-season trip to Turkey was cancelled due to issues related to delay in visa acquisition.
The team commenced their preseason couple of weeks ago, and intensified it with a ten day stay in Accra to get themselves well gelled after long break after the season
The team arrived in Khartoum, Sudan on the early hours of today and have announced they will engage in four high profile friendlies to test their strength ahead of the upcoming season.
They will take on Sudan champions Al Hilal Omdurman in a double header on Tuesday, August 23, and Friday, August 26, 2022.
They will face Tanzanian giants Simba SC in two days time before they wrap up their preseason in the North African country with a game against a club that will play in this year's CAF Confederations Cup.
Asante Kotoko will hope to defend their league title in the coming season and also cruise into the money zone of the Champions League this time around, where they will face Burkina Faso heavyweights RC Kadiogo in the first preliminary round next month.
