Asante Kotoko have enquired about the availability of Berekum Chelsea defender Lord Amoah.
The Porcupine Warriors are in the market for a highly productive right-back this off-season. Amoah has emerged as a possible target.
He arrived at Golden City Park during the 2021-22 season and has since then been a first-team regular. The rock-solid defender has registered 61 appearances for the Ghana Premier League side so far, scoring eight goals.
Last season, he featured in 29 games in the Ghana Premier League and supplied three assists. The 21-year-old has earned admirers at the Bono Region club with his consistent performances.
Prosper Ogum has a healthy set of defenders, further strengthened by Justice Blay. However, Blay is the only player among them who can play diverse defensive positions. Ogum wants an able backup for the Sekondi-born and has his eyes on Amoah.
Kotoko have already made an inquiry about the player’s availability. Amoah could also be tempted by a move to the Porcupines, as it could be the next big step in his career.
