Former Asante Kotoko defender Evans Owusu has expressed deep appreciation for his time with the Porcupine Warriors, emphasizing the club's pivotal role in his football journey.
Owusu, who enjoyed a notable stint with Kotoko, credited the club for offering him a platform to showcase his talent and for the unwavering support he received from its passionate fan base.
“Playing for Asante Kotoko has helped me so much; they gave me a platform to showcase my talent, and I also had the opportunity to enjoy the love and support from the fans,” Owusu shared with Sportsboom.
He also acknowledged the profound influence Kotoko had on his personal and professional development, stating, “My time at Kotoko shaped me into the player I am today.”
Owusu's remarks come in the buildup to the much-anticipated Super Clash between Kotoko and fierce rivals Hearts of Oak, set for Sunday, December 15, 2024, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Kotoko, currently seventh on the Ghana Premier League table with 18 points, are seeking to capitalize on their recent resurgence following a crucial 2-0 win against Aduana Stars.
