Ghana Premier League side Aduana Football Club has officially announced the appointment of Romanian coach Cioaba Aristica as their new head coach.
The Dormaa-based club confirmed the news via a Facebook post on Tuesday, December 10, welcoming Aristica back to the club.
“Aristica is home. Welcome back, 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐨𝐛𝐚,” the club stated in the post.
Aduana FC has been without a permanent head coach since parting ways with Yaw Acheampong, who was dismissed after a series of disappointing results in the league. Under Acheampong’s tenure, the Fire Boys struggled to find consistency, with only two wins, six draws, and four losses in their opening 12 matches.
Currently sitting in 13th place with just 12 points, Aduana FC faces an uphill battle to return to form and challenge for the Ghana Premier League title.
Aristica, who takes over at a critical juncture in the season, will need to act quickly to instill discipline and coherence in the squad. Aduana FC’s next challenge comes against Berekum Chelsea in Week 13 of the 2024/25 league campaign, with the match set to test the new coach’s immediate impact.
