Asante Kotoko head coach Karim Zito has delivered a welcome update ahead of their crucial Ghana Premier League fixture against Hohoe United, revealing that two important players are close to making a return.
Zito confirmed that Walid Neymar Fuseini and Seth Kwadwo are likely to rejoin the squad as preparations intensify for Sunday’s clash. The duo’s return would provide a significant boost for the Porcupine Warriors, who have struggled with multiple injuries throughout the campaign.
Kotoko head into the encounter with an inconsistent run of form, having recorded three draws, one win, and one defeat in their last five matches. According to Zito, injuries have been their biggest challenge, but he is encouraged by the gradual recovery of several players.
"Well, so far most likely we will get Neymar and Seth to join us. Last week we had Philip, and surely we might have Neymar and Seth also joining him," he told Asante Kotoko TV.
The Porcupine Warriors currently occupy 5th place on the league table with 21 points from 12 matches. They travel to the Hohoe Sports Stadium on Sunday to face Hohoe United.
