Ghanaian football giants Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak will rekindle their storied rivalry in the 2025 President’s Cup, scheduled for Sunday, July 6.

The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) confirmed the fixture during a press briefing on Thursday. The annual match is held in honour of the sitting President of the Republic, with this year’s edition dedicated to President John Dramani Mahama, now serving his second term in office.

In a bid to boost fan turnout and celebrate the domestic game, organisers have announced that entry to the match will be free.

Asante Kotoko are the most decorated club in the history of the competition, having lifted the trophy eight times. However, they were beaten in last year’s edition by Ivorian side ASEC Mimosas.

Hearts of Oak, with six titles to their name, head into the clash with confidence, having defeated Kotoko in their previous two President’s Cup meetings. The match promises to be a thrilling spectacle as Ghana’s two most successful clubs battle for national bragging rights once again.
