On the hunt for the fifth consecutive victory in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season, Asante Kotoko will be traveling to Tarkwa to face Medeama SC for the first time in the league at the newly built TnA Stadium.

The Porcupine Warriors' last visit to Tarkwa was the historic inaugural match for the official outdooring of the TnA Stadium, where Asante Kotoko suffered a 2-1 defeat to Medeama.

However, Asante Kotoko are unbeaten by the Yellow and Mauves lads in the Premier League since January 2020, and they will be looking forward to extending their streak with a positive result against Medeama SC in the fixture on Sunday.

Asante Kotoko has revealed in a statement ahead of the crucial game that two of their attackers, namely Baba Yahaya and Wisdom Fernando Bassey, will be missing their trip to the Western Region due to injuries.

According to the club, Baba Yahaya failed a late fitness test early Saturday morning with a groin problem, while the Nigerian international could only manage one training session during the week with a hamstring injury.

A win over Medeama SC will see Asante Kotoko leveling on points with league leaders, Heart of Lions, who are away to Bechem United in Ghana Premier League match-week 16.
