Asante Kotoko has issued a firm ultimatum to Libyan side Al Ahly Benghazi regarding the outstanding transfer fee for midfielder Albert Amoah.

The Ghanaian giants have demanded that the North African club settle the payment immediately, warning that failure to do so will compel Kotoko to take formal action through football governing bodies.

Kotoko officials stated that the transfer agreement, which facilitated Amoah’s move earlier this year, included a clear timeline for payment. However, the Libyan side has reportedly defaulted, prompting the club to take a hardline stance.

“The club expects Al Ahly Benghazi to honour their financial obligations regarding Albert Amoah’s transfer,” said a Kotoko spokesperson. “If the payment is not made within the stipulated period, we will have no choice but to escalate the matter to CAF and FIFA to ensure the club’s rights are protected.”

Amoah, who has been a standout performer for the Porcupine Warriors, continues to contribute significantly on the pitch, making the recovery of the transfer fee a top priority for the club.

Asante Kotoko, currently enjoying a strong run in the Ghana Premier League as the only unbeaten side, will be keen to resolve the matter swiftly to avoid distractions during the ongoing campaign
