Malik Jabir, a former player and coach of Asante Kotoko, has openly criticized the current management of the football club, which is led by Nana Yaw Amponsah.

Asante Kotoko is known to have a large and passionate fan base in Ghana, and any negative comments about the club's management are bound to attract attention and spark discussions within the football community.

Jabir's recent remarks have led to debates about the current state of Asante Kotoko and the direction it's heading under Amponsah's leadership.

Asante Kotoko's defense of their title, which they won last season, has been struggling with inconsistent results on the pitch and internal problems. The team is currently being managed by assistant coach Abdul Gazale, after Seydou Zerbo, the Burkinabe coach, was fired following the loss to Medeama SC.

Jabir expressed his opinion on the matter in an interview with Silver FM, stating that Nana Yaw Amponsah's administration is the exact opposite of Asante Kotoko's tradition and philosophy.

He suggested that the owner should consider putting tradition aside and seek investors, whether they are Ghanaian, foreign, or any nationality, who are willing to invest money in the club and expect returns, as they would work better.

"Nana Yaw Amponsah's administration is the complete opposite of Asante Kotoko's tradition and philosophy," Jabir told Silver FM.

"If the owner can probably set tradition aside and get investors whether they’re Ghanaians, foreigners, or whoever who will come and join the club because they have invested money in it and they expect returns I’m sure they will work better”

Asante Kotoko, currently in fifth place, will face Aduana Stars, the league leaders, in their upcoming game.
