Ghanaian heavyweights, Asante Kotoko will be returning to the Baba Yara Stadium since the end of last season, this weekend, when they face another topflight side Nsoatreman FC in a preseason friendly.
The Porcupine Warriors under the tutelage of new head coach Prosper Nartey Ogum, have been in Beposo for preseason for weeks noe and have engaged in some friendlies to get themselves ready for next season.
They played four matches against some notable lower division sides within that period and recorded two wins and two draws.
The two-time African champions recorded a 6-1 and 1-0 win over Cornerstones FC and Asekem FC respectfully, and the two drawn games were against Kharis Academy and current Ashanti Regional Division Two champions PAC Academy.
Nsoatreman FC also, just returned from Samreboi for a mini-tournament dubbed the Nsenkyire Cup- organized by Samartex Company Limited.
Maxwell Konadu's men played three matches but failed to win any, having drawn two and lost one- which came against eventual winners of the competition Berekum Chelsea.
This game will serve as a perfect avenue for both clubs to test their strength and also patch up all cracks in the team to get themselves adequately prepared for the 2023/24 football season.
The match is scheduled for Sunday, September 10, 2023 at the Baba Yara Stadium at 15:00GMT
