Emmanuel Antwi, a 24-year-old midfielder, has reportedly agreed to personal terms with Asante Kotoko, according to the club’s former spokesperson, Obed Acheampong (Sir Obed).
Antwi, who recently completed his contract with Great Olympics, is set to join Kotoko as a free agent if the deal is finalized.
Kotoko sees Antwi as a valuable addition to their team for the upcoming season, with plans to bring him in as a replacement for Richmond Lamptey, who is looking to explore other opportunities outside of the club.
Emmanuel Antwi is a delight to watch
Despite Great Olympics’ relegation to the Division One League, Antwi had a solid season, making 26 appearances, scoring six goals, and providing five assists. He also received multiple MVP awards during this period.
If the deal goes through, Antwi will be joining Asante Kotoko with high hopes of making a positive impact on the team and contributing to their success in the new season.
