Asante Kotoko are in advanced talks to sign Togolese defender Youssifou Atté, according to a report by former Kotoko PRO Obed Acheampong.
The Porcupines are looking to strengthen their squad after parting ways with 18 first-team players following a disappointing 2023/24 season.
Atté, 28, recently ended his contract with Congolese giants TP Mazembe after two seasons.
The versatile defender has gained international recognition, having been selected for the Togolese national team by coach Claude Le Roy for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. He has since made 12 appearances for the Sparrowhawks.
What Youssifou Atté pops brings to Asante Kotoko
Atté's signing would be a significant coup for Kotoko, who are eager to rebuild their squad ahead of the new season. The club has been busy in the transfer market, and securing Atté's services could be a major boost for the team.
