Assistant coach of Asante Kotoko, David Ocloo has dubbed their defeat against Karela United as a very disappointing one but added they will have to put it behind and focus on bouncing back on winning path.

The 'Pride and Passion' outfit exhibited a five-star display with strong mentality to record a slim 1-0 win over the Reds last Saturday at the Naa Sheriga Sports Center in an epic GPL week 20 clash.

The game was really an intensed one and very difficult for both sides but it was Ibrahim Giyas's 60th minute towering header that made the difference and handed the hosts all three points after full time.

The defeat means the Porcupine Warriors are most likely to drop from the second place depending on the results from other matches today.

In a post-match presser, Ocloo reiterated that, they were wasteful upfront and that came back to affect them but strongly believes they will patch up all cracks to start getting the wins in their subsequent games.

"It's a disappointing game. When you have the opportunity and you don't use them. It comes back to hunt you. And this is exactly what happened."

"I'm not worried, is just a game and there are more to come so we just have go back and work hard with determination and focus and play according to our system."

Asante Kotoko's next league fixture is against regional rivals Nations FC on Friday, March 22, and will be a must win for the Reds to stay in the title race.
