The playing body of Asante Kotoko have reportedly boycotted their preseason over salary arrears.
The players were owed three months salary in arrears, but the club managed to clear one outstanding month last week.
The team was billed to move to the capital, Accra, to continue with their preseason today but the players are hesitant to move.
The club is scheduled to move to Turkey to wrap up their preseason from the middle of this month ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.
Asante Kotoko won the Ghana Premier League last season and will be competing in the CAF inter-club competitions in the upcoming season.
Fabio Gama, Mudasiru Salifu, Imoro Ibrahim have all left Asante Kotoko, with more players expected to be shipped out.
Meanwhile, the club have completed the signing of Steven Mukwala and Frederick Asare in the ongoing transfer window.
The club is expected to announce a new coach after management and Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum have failed to settle their differences.
The 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season will start on 9th September, 2022.
