Asante Kotoko concluded their preseason preparations with a match against Nsoatreman FC, a Ghana Premier League team, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday evening.
The game ended in a draw after the regulation time. Former Asante Kotoko striker Stephen Manu, who is known as "BA" in the football community, shared his thoughts with Kumasi-based Kessben FM, stating, “Asante Kotoko players lack match fitness and they need another month for preseason.”
He continued, “The players are not prepared for the upcoming season so if the League can be postponed for the players to prepare very well for the season.”
Asante Kotoko is set to begin their league campaign against newly promoted side Heart of Lion on Sunday.
