Kurt Okraku, the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), emphasizes that increasing stadium attendance in Ghanaian football is a collective endeavor.

The consistently low turnout at matches in the Ghana Premier League and other divisions has raised significant concerns among stakeholders.

Some have pointed fingers at e-ticketing and the media as factors contributing to the poor attendance at stadiums.

As the domestic top-flight season kicks off this weekend, the leader of the Ghana FA has reaffirmed the association's commitment to boosting stadium attendance. He also encourages clubs to take proactive steps to promote themselves, including fostering stronger relationships with the media.

“I think everyone will have to play a big part in ensuring that fans patronize our league. I have reiterated our (GFA) desire to promote the league and it is also important for the clubs to promote themselves and also get closer to the media to work towards the common vision”

“Going into the new season, I think that the FA is very much committed. Football is a tool that brings togetherness, so we want to use the medium to bring people together so we can enjoy our most popular sport” he said.
