Asante Kotoko has officially offered a three-year contract extension to their first-choice goalkeeper, Frederick Asare, Ghanasportspage.com confirms.
The Black Stars goalkeeper, whose current deal runs until August 2025, has been instrumental in Kotoko’s defense since joining from Accra Lions in 2022.
Asare has delivered outstanding performances in the ongoing 2024/25 Ghana Premier League, featuring in four matches, recording three clean sheets, and conceding just one goal. His consistency has cemented his status as one of the league’s top shot-stoppers.
The new contract, if accepted, would extend Asare's stay with the Porcupine Warriors until at least 2028, ensuring stability in Kotoko’s goalkeeping department for the foreseeable future.
Asare’s commanding presence between the posts has been crucial to Kotoko’s unbeaten start to the season, and the club is keen to secure his services as they pursue domestic glory.
