Asante Kotoko have reached an agreement to sign Berekum Chelsea's right-back, Lord Amoah in the ongoing transfer window.

The 21-year-old had a standout season with Chelsea in the recently concluded Ghana Premier League, playing a pivotal role in their commendable third-place finish.

Amoah brings significant experience to the table, having accumulated 61 appearances and contributing 8 goals since his debut in the domestic top-flight league.

Last season alone, he featured in 29 matches in the Ghana Premier League, showcasing his defensive prowess and contributing three assists. His impressive performances have caught the attention of several clubs, with Asante Kotoko leading the charge to secure his signature.

Kickgh.com sources indicate that Kotoko and Berekum Chelsea have agreed on a fee for his transfer after days of negotiating as the Porcupine Warriors were eager to finalize the deal before they resume for pre-season. Meanwhile, the player has already agreed to personal terms with Kotoko.

The player will move to Kumasi to undergo his mandatory medical in the coming days before putting pen to paper.

Asante Kotoko faced challenges in the right-back position last season, often deploying Justice Blay in that role.

With an eye on bolstering their defensive lineup, Kotoko sees Amoah as a key addition who can provide stability and quality in defense for the upcoming campaign.
