Hearts of Oak legend, Bernard Dong Bortey insists that Asante Kotoko marksman Isaac Oppong is his successor in the Ghana Premier League (GPL).
Oppong signed for Asante Kotoko from Division Two side Bectero Sassana in 2021.
He started his Asante Kotoko journey on a good note, before injuries blighted his season.
Isaac Oppong scored a late minute winner to hand Asante Kotoko an advantage over RC Kadiogo in the 1st leg of the CAF Champions League preliminary round.
Asante Kotoko will host RC Kadiogo in the return fixture on Sunday at the Baba Yara stadium.
Dong Bortey believes that Isaac Oppong is his successor in Ghana and insists that he needs to be guided to improve his game.
"Isaac Oppong of Asante Kotoko is the next Don Bortey, he just needs little guidance to get there” he told Union FM in Sunyani.
