Asante Kotoko have bolstered their goalkeeping department with the signing of Bechem United shot-stopper Dari Aziz Haruna on a three-year contract, according to Ghanaian transfer expert Mo Shaban.
The deal was finalised after both clubs completed all necessary paperwork, paving the way for the 24-year-old to join the Porcupine Warriors ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Haruna arrives at Kotoko after an impressive spell with Bechem United, where he built a reputation as one of the most dependable goalkeepers in the Ghana Premier League. His excellent reflexes, aerial dominance, and leadership at the back were key attributes that caught the attention of the Kotoko technical team.
The move is seen as a strategic reinforcement as Kotoko aim to mount a strong challenge in the domestic league and prepare for a return to continental football next season.
Haruna is expected to provide stiff competition for the number one spot and enhance depth in the goalkeeping department, with the club targeting a successful rebuild after a mixed 2024/25 campaign.
