Asante Kotoko are seriously considering bringing former left-back Imoro Ibrahim back to Kumasi this season.
Kickgh.com understands that the defender’s situation at Tanzanian side Singida Black Stars gives Kotoko an inexpensive route to re-sign him.
The Porcupine Warriors are subsequently out to explore the market for more experienced left-backs to strengthen their squad.
Meanwhile, Imoro has already decided to leave Singida Black Stars in search of a new challenge, having gained valuable experience during his time at the club.
The left-back played a key role in Kotoko’s 2021/22 Ghana Premier League title-winning campaign, making 28 league appearances and providing eight assists.
His attacking skills from defence made him one of the league’s most creative defenders, as Kotoko ended their eight-year wait for the league title.
Imoro played more than 50 league matches for Kotoko before leaving in August 2022 to join Sudanese giants Al-Hilal Omdurman. He later moved to Tanzania in 2024 after leaving Al-Hilal because of the conflict in Sudan.
