Port City head coach Christopher Ennin has tipped his side’s Ghana Premier League Matchweek 9 clash against Vision FC to produce an exciting game with both teams looking to claim all three points on Saturday.
The Eewo Boys will host the Kukurantumi-based team at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex in Tema, with both sides aiming to win and improve their position on the league table.
Ennin, who took charge of Port City at the start of the 2026/27 season, expects an entertaining encounter, pointing to the two teams’ preference for playing attractive, possession-based football.
Speaking to Eagle Eye GH, the Port City tactician praised Vision FC but warned his players against underestimating their opponents, stressing that his team have been working hard to improve their tactical approach ahead of the showdown.
“Vision FC are not a bad side, and I always respect every club competing in the Premier League. The moment you underestimate an opponent, they can take you by surprise. We have been working on our transition from defence to attack, as well as different tactical strategies, to ensure we go there and get points,” he said.
The Port City coach also predicted a high-quality battle, insisting that the clash could rank among the league’s most entertaining games, although he believes the team that performs better on the day will claim the victory.
“We are going to witness one of the best games in the league. Vision FC like to play the ball, just as we do, so it promises to be an interesting encounter. However, at the end of the day, the better side will emerge victorious and take all three points,” he added.
Port City have enjoyed an impressive start to life in the Ghana Premier League following their promotion to the top flight for the first time.
After eight matches in the 2026/27 campaign, the GPL toddlers have recorded four wins, two draws and two defeats to collect 14 points, leaving them fourth in the league table.
