Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko have announced the signing of Michael Dwamena in the ongoing transfer window.

Dwamena has joined the Porcupine Warriors on three-year deal after passing a mandatory medical examination on Saturday.
 
The club's official statement reads “Asante Kotoko is delighted to confirm the signing of defensive midfielder Micheal Dwamena Kyei from WAFA after completing his mandatory medical examination on Saturday.”
 
The 23-year-old, who has earned the reputation as one of the best in his position in the domestic league, penned a three-year deal and followed Andrews Ntim as the two central midfield signing of the current transfer window. 
 
The former WAFA skipper journey started from WA Suntaa, before spending three seasons at the Sogakope Arena, making 26 appearances for the division one side as well as recording his name on the assists chart, four times during last season.
 
“Playing for Asante Kotoko has always been part of my dream growing up,” Dwamena told the club's official website after sealing the move.
 
"Moreover, the coach [Prosper Narteh Ogum] is someone I have worked with before, and his understanding of the game excites me a lot, and I am confident that together, we can achieve something great here.” 
 
He becomes the latest signing of Asante Kotoko after the arrival of Yahaya Dawuni, Nanabayin Amoah, Andrews Ntim Manu, Samuel Asamoah, Bernard Somuah, Baba Yahaya, Peter Acquah, Fatao Seidu, Henry Ansu, Kalo Ouattara and Yussif Mohammed Nurudeen.
