Asante Kotoko striker Albert Amoah is brimming with confidence after scoring the decisive goal in the club's 1-0 victory over Karela United in their opening match of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.

The 22-year-old forward made an impact with his goal at the Naa Sherigaa Sports Complex in Nalerigu, providing Kotoko with a crucial win to kick off their campaign.

Despite the significant overhaul in the squad, with over 12 new players joining and more than 20 departing from last season, Amoah believes the team is well-positioned to challenge for the league title.

“When you look at the team, it feels like a unit that has been together for a long time,” Amoah told Kotoko’s media team. “With the quality we have, we are seriously capable of winning the Ghana Premier League this season.”

Amoah, who made the switch from Division One side Great Olympics to Kotoko, is hopeful that the team’s strong start will be a sign of success as they aim to build on this momentum throughout the season.
