Hearts of Oak coach Aboubakar Ouattara is bracing for a formidable challenge as his team prepares to face Heart of Lions in their Ghana Premier League fixture on Sunday afternoon.

The match, set to take place at the Kpando Stadium, is part of the second round of the domestic top-flight season.

Ouattara has acknowledged the difficulty of the upcoming encounter, describing Heart of Lions as a strong team. “It’s a tough match. Heart of Lions is a strong team. We've played them twice in the league since I assumed the coaching role, and also faced them in the Homowo Cup. Truth be told, they are a strong side,” he said.

Hearts of Oak will be looking to recover from their narrow 1-0 defeat to Premier League newcomers Basake Holy Stars in their season opener, which was held at the Accra Sports Stadium. The loss has heightened the need for a positive result in their next game.

Meanwhile, Heart of Lions, who earned a valuable 1-1 draw away to Aduana Stars in their opening match, are determined to secure their first win of the season against Hearts of Oak.
