Asante Kotoko has designated the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in Abrankese as an alternative home ground for the upcoming football season.

Traditionally, the Porcupines have played their home matches at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi since the club's inception. However, as a precautionary measure, they have now chosen the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex as their second-choice venue.

Nana Coker, a former management member of the club and a close associate of Dr. Kwame Kyei, disclosed in a recent interview that the stadium was acquired and renovated with Kotoko's interests in mind.

The Ghana Football Association's official list of venues includes the Abrankese stadium as the backup option in case of any issues with the Baba Yara Stadium.

Furthermore, Kotoko has added their training center, Adako Gyakye Sports Center, to the list of facilities they intend to utilize during the upcoming 2023-24 season.
