After mutually parting ways with Hearts of Oak on Wednesday following the expiration of his contract, defender Robert Addo Sowah has shared an emotional message with the club.

Having spent seven years with the Phobians, Addo established himself as a key player, contributing significantly to the club's success, including helping them end their trophy drought during the 2020/21 season.

“It was a Dream-come true to feature for the Rainbow family. I am who I am because of this Great Club. “

“I would like to thank the Board, Current and Outgone Technical team, Playing Body and Supporters of this amazing club for everything they have done for me. I couldn’t have come far without them all.”

“I dedicate all the good moments I had at Hearts of Oak to the fans and wish the club the best of luck.”

Last season, the defender was on loan at Samartex, where he played a crucial role in helping the club avoid relegation at the end of the 2022/23 season.

As he embarks on a new chapter in his football career, Addo is expected to find himself a new club before the start of the 2023/24 football season, aiming to continue his successful journey. Notably, he has made a total of 81 appearances in the Ghana Premier League.
