Asante Kotoko will begin the search for a new head coach at the end of the 2024/25 season, according to board member and former communications director, Sarfo Duku.

Speaking to Kessben TV, Duku revealed that the club plans to officially open applications for the vacant role once the season concludes. He emphasized that management is particularly focused on securing a foreign coach who can inject new ideas and restore discipline and tactical sharpness within the team.

“The club will begin the process of appointing a new head coach at the end of the season.

“At the end of the season, we will officially open applications for the role of head coach," he told Kessben TV.

Kotoko have endured a turbulent campaign, with inconsistent performances raising concerns among fans and stakeholders. The club's hierarchy believes that appointing an experienced foreign coach will be crucial to building a stronger, more competitive team capable of reclaiming dominance both domestically and on the continent.

“This time, management is keen on bringing in a foreign coach who can bring a new perspective, discipline, and fresh tactical direction to the team," he added.

The upcoming appointment is expected to be a major part of a broader restructuring process aimed at revamping the technical setup ahead of the 2025/26 season.
