Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has disclosed plans for significant reinforcements during the January transfer window as the club intensifies its bid to reclaim the Ghana Premier League title after a three-year drought.
The Porcupine Warriors, buoyed by a crucial 1-0 victory over arch-rivals Hearts of Oak in the Super Clash, currently sit three points behind league leaders Heart of Lions.
With the race for the title heating up, Coach Ogum is keen on strengthening his squad for the challenges ahead.
“There are a lot [of signings planned]. We are going to see a lot of additions, that is if all things go well," Ogum said during a recent interview. "We've started several discussions, and we are confident that we’ll secure the players we need. We are hoping and praying that things align in our favor so that we can bolster the team.”
The recruitment drive has already commenced, with the club announcing the return of forward Kwame Opoku on a free transfer as their first acquisition of the window.
