Ghana Premier League giants Kotoko are set to terminate their contracts with several players after the club’s technical team reportedly identified the first batch of footballers not included in their plans for the upcoming season.
According to Oyerepa FM, the technical team has informed the club’s board that Prince Badu, Elvis Kyei Baffour, Francis Acquah, Benjamin Twum and Kwame Poku are all expected to leave as part of the squad restructuring.
The expected departures form the first phase of Kotoko’s ongoing overhaul as head coach Eric Tinkler and the club’s technical department continue to reshape the squad ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
The Porcupine Warriors have already made a number of additions during the current transfer window and are expected to continue strengthening key areas before the new season begins.
Meanwhile, a second batch of players expected to leave the club is reportedly set to be announced next week as Kotoko press ahead with their rebuilding process.
