Asante Kotoko midfielder Justice Blay is eagerly anticipating the upcoming 2024/25 campaign, aiming to make a significant impact with the Porcupine Warriors.
The 32-year-old had a challenging season last term, as injuries limited his appearances in both the Ghana Premier League and the FA Cup.
Now fully recovered, Blay is focused on regaining his top form to help Kotoko reclaim the Premier League title. Speaking about his ambitions for the new season, he said, “I’m expecting the best of me next season. For now, my target is to help Kotoko win the league for Asanteman.”
Asante Kotoko has been actively preparing for the new campaign, already securing two wins in preseason friendly matches. Their next challenge will be against Medeama SC on Friday, as part of the inauguration of the newly built TNA Park in Tarkwa.
Blay brings a wealth of experience to the Kotoko squad, having made 99 appearances in the Ghana Premier League, with stints at both Medeama and Kotoko. During this period, he has scored 8 goals, establishing himself as a key player for the club. Blay joined Kotoko on a permanent deal from Medeama in 2022 and has since become an integral part of the team.
Kotoko will kick off their Premier League campaign against Karela United, with Blay determined to play a crucial role in their quest for glory.
