Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum is confident that securing back-to-back home victories will significantly enhance his players' morale as they prepare for their upcoming match.
The Porcupine Warriors celebrated narrow 1-0 wins against Accra Lions and reigning champions FC Samartex in their last two home fixtures at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium.
Kotoko will now take on Basake Holy Stars in an away match at the CAM Park in Anyinase on Sunday for match week eight.
Reflecting on the importance of these victories, Ogum stated, “Winning back-to-back matches at home should give the players that confidence.”
He added, “The supporters are behind them. We know and are very confident that our supporters will come out in their numbers to support us.”
Ogum emphasized the need for his team to maintain their composure and adhere to their game structure: “We have to believe in ourselves and make sure that we stay calm and play within the game structure.”
The Porcupine Warriors currently sit second in the league table with 14 points, just one point behind GoldStars, having played one match less and remaining unbeaten this season.
