Hearts of Oak head coach Aboubakar Ouattara has praised the club’s supporters, declaring them the lifeblood of the team and emphasizing that the club cannot thrive without their backing.
Despite facing criticism from fans during his tenure, Ouattara has consistently urged the Phobians to remain loyal as the team works to improve its performance.
“The fans are the lifeblood of the club. We can't live without blood. It’s not politics; it’s the truth we are telling them. When we participate in major competitions, it’s for the fans,” Ouattara stated during an interview with Hearts TV.
He highlighted the importance of the supporters, noting that the new stadium is being built for them. “When I refer to our wonderful fans, I believe there should be constructive criticism. While we appreciate good feedback, we can accept normal criticism. However, insults are not acceptable,” he added.
Currently, Hearts of Oak sits ninth in the league table with nine points, six points adrift of the top spot after managing two wins in their first seven league matches. The team is on a five-game unbeaten streak but is struggling to convert draws into victories.
