Basake Holy Stars head coach Johnson Smith says he is aiming for a top-four finish in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
The Big Holy are hovering just above the relegation zone after a patchy season. On Sunday, in their matchday 20 game, Holy Stars lost 3–0 to Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Kotoko dominated the game, with captain Samba O’Neil, Albert Amoah and Kwame Opoku all scoring to secure a comfortable win for the Porcupine Warriors.
Despite the defeat, Smith remains ambitious about the season and confident his team can climb the table.
“I’m confident we will survive relegation at the end of the season,” he said after the match.
“I’m targeting a top-four finish with Basake Holy Stars.”
Basake Holy Stars will next host Berekum Chelsea on Sunday, February 1, 2026, in matchday 21 of the league.
