Abdulai Gazale expressed immense frustration, stating referee Rustum Gameli Senorgbe decision to award a free-kick to Asante Kotoko was "shameful" and "made it impossible" for Basake Holy Stars to secure a point in Kumasi.

On Sunday, Holy Stars succumbed to a 1-0 defeat to the Porcupine Warriors at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Midfielder Samuel Tenedu slotted home a long range drive in the 14th minute which was aided by a deflection into the left bottom of the net.

The win on Sunday enabled Kotoko to scoop their third consecutive victory as they extended their unbeaten run to four games.

However, Gazale was not happy with some of the decisions that went against his side and hinted Holy Stars would have secured a point if the officials took a different stance.

“Sometimes when you are playing this kind of league, especially in the second round, you see so many things happen. I don’t talk about officiating officials but here, I will talk about it because I know what has gone into this match.

When asked about the Baba Yara atmosphere, the ex-assistant coach of Kotoko said: We know what Kotoko did in the first leg but they did not succeed but here, they have succeeded. Just look at the free-kicks awarded against us, it’s unfortunate."
