Heart of Lions head coach Bashir Hayford has called for his team to intensify their efforts as they prepare to host Asante Kotoko in a crucial Ghana Premier League clash this weekend.
The experienced tactician believes that only by giving their all can the Kpando-based side hope to claim a positive result in the Week 21 fixture.
“Playing at home, we want to double our efforts. We have prepared very well for this match, and now it’s about seeing what we can achieve on the pitch,” Hayford said in a pre-match interview with Heart of Lions TV.
The coach acknowledged the challenge posed by Kotoko, describing the encounter as a tough test. “It is going to be a difficult game. We cannot underestimate any opponent, especially a team like Kotoko who are back to winning ways,” he added.
Despite the team’s struggles this season, Hayford expressed confidence that careful preparation and determination could produce a favorable outcome. “Although we are facing challenges, we are focused on preparing well to meet them and hopefully secure a good result,” he noted.
The highly anticipated clash between Heart of Lions and Asante Kotoko is scheduled to kick off at 3:30 pm on Saturday, January 31, at the Kpando Sports Stadium, promising an intense showdown for both sides.
