Bechem United assistant coach Mallam Yahaya has insisted his side are fully focused on securing all three points when they face Basake Holy Stars in the Ghana Premier League this weekend.

The Hunters appear to have turned a corner in recent weeks, recording four wins from their last five matches to move clear of the relegation zone. The back-to-back victories over Berekum Chelsea and Bibiani Goldstars have lifted Bechem United up to 11th place on the league table.

Speaking to Bechem United TV ahead of Sunday’s Matchday 19 clash, Yahaya admitted the task will not be easy, especially against a strong Basake Holy Stars side on home soil.

“Holy Stars are a good team. They are a team difficult to beat at home, but we are also determined to get a good result,” he said.

Yahaya stressed that hard work remains central to Bechem United’s approach as they push for a third successive league win.

“It’s all about hard work, and that is what we are doing. In football, if you relax, you can get punished, so we are focusing on working hard to ensure that at the end of the day, the team will get to a good place,” he added.

The Week 19 encounter between Basake Holy Stars and Bechem United is scheduled to take place at the AAK II Sports Arena in Ampain on Sunday, January 18.
