The talented attacking midfielder of Ghanaian origin has extended his deal with the Belgian topflight outfit until the end of the next three football campaigns

Belgian-born Ghanaian youngster Desmond Acquah has signed a three-year contract extension with Belgian Jupiler Pro League side OH Leuven, the club have announced.

The 21-year-old, who rose through the youth ranks of OHL, has been in magnificent form with the U-23 set-up hence the decision to tie him down to a long-term contract this summer.

"Desmond Acquah extended his contract with OH Leuven for three seasons. The 21-year-old youth product thus defends the Leuven colors until at least 2026," a statement confirming the contract extension read.

Expressing delight over the new deal of the 21-year-old attacking midfielder, Academy Manager Henk Mariman spoke about the highly rated Ghanaian youngster telling his club's official website: "Desmond has been playing at our youth academy for a long time and has already taken the step towards the promises at a young age. This season he is knocking on the door of the first team and he can take the step forward.”

Acquah could switch allegiance and play for Ghana on the international stage as he is yet to be capped by the Belgian national team.
