Head coach of Berekum Chelsea, Samuel Boadu has lauded the performance of his players having secured their first victory of the season over the weekend.
The Bibires started the new season with a goalless drawn game against newbies Vision FC and needed something to redeem themselves as soon as possible.
They recorded a precious 1-0 win over Karela United over the weekend at the Nana Agyemang Badu II stadium in Dormaa, to record the victory courtesy a Mezack Afriyie early strike.
With a win and a draw from their opening two matches, the experienced tactician admitted they struggled on the artificial turf in their first game but is praising his lads now for the redemption.
“Draw in our opening game against Vision FC on Astro Turf was not easy and playing home away from home in our second game too was also not easy. I will congratulate my boys for this win”
Berekum Chelsea won't be in action over the weekend as they had to travel Nsoatreman FC- who will be up in the CAF Confederations Cup.
