New Ghana Premier league headline sponsor BetPawa will finance the construction of a pitch for Ghana Football Association.
The pitch is scheduled to begin in October at the Ghanaman Soccer Excellence at Prampram.
Betting company, BetPawa will sponsor the Ghana Premier league (GPL) for three year, worth six million dollars.
BetPawa will pay two million dollars each season for the Ghanaian top-flight football for three years.
The sponsorship agreement was unveiled at the Ghana Football Association headquarters in Accra today.
The 2022/23 GPL season will start on September 9, after it has been launched on September 2.
The GPL has been without a sponsor since 2018, when their ten million dollars deal with Zylophone Cash ended abruptly because of the collapse of the parent company, Menzgold.
Speaking at the unveiling, Kurt Okraku urged corporate bodies to invest in football.
"For the country to be able to compete fiercely and on equal footing with other talents across the globe, there is the need for companies like betPawa and corporate Ghana to contribute to complement the effort of the Government," he said.
