The Ghana Football Association have officially announced a three-year sponsorship deal with Betting Company BetPawa as the headline sponsors of the Ghana Premier League.
The deal is worth two million dollars every season spanning throughout the three-year period.
The President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Edwin Simeone Okraku has categorically broke down how the sponsorship money will be shared and those it includes.
In a Facebook post after the announcement, the President states that, "Earlythis morning, we announced our new relationship with Betpawa as the headline sponsor of the Ghana Premier League.
Betpawa has undertaken to invest a total of 6million$ into our football over a period of 3 years.
Part of this money will go directly to our clubs, part will go to our players as team match winning bonuses, media and marketing and finally part will go into the construction of the Betpawa football pitch in prampram.
Thanks you Betpawa for the trust in domestic football."
The Ghana Premier League has had no major sponsors since Zylofon Cash deal ended abruptly after the Anas Exposé leaving the country's flagship football competition at the mercy of ridicule.
BetPawa will join other companies that partners the Football Association like Melcom, ZAZ Produtke, NASCO, STC Transport, etc.
The 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season starts on the 2nd Saturday of September 2022.
