Bibiani Gold Stars striker Ronald Frimpong has insisted his side will overcome Asante Kotoko in Sunday’s Champion of Champions showdown.
Frimpong believes that although the match is “a big game altogether”, he believes the Premier League Champions will flip bounce the Porcupine Warriors.
The nerve-cracking fixture at the Dun's Park in Bibiani, pits Kotoko — Ghana’s most decorated club — against Gold Stars, who secured the Premier League title after a strong campaign last season.
Frimpong, speaking ahead of the encounter, struck a confident utterance. “Our match against Kotoko in the Champion of Champions is a big game, altogether, but Bibiani Gold Stars will carry the day on Sunday, August 31,” the forward said.
The Miners, who have grown into one of the league’s surprise packages, will be eager to underline their evolution with another triumph over Kotoko, having already outclassed the Porcupine Warriors in the GHALCA Top 4, in what is being framed as an early litmus test for both clubs.
