Bibiani GoldStars have confirmed the appointment of Swiss coach Fritz Markus Schmid as their new head coach.
The Miners have handed Schmid a two-year contract as the club seeks to sharpen its technical direction and competitiveness in the Ghana Premier League.
Schmid brings with him significant international experience, having worked in elite football environments across Europe.
He previously served as an assistant coach at English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur, as well as at Swiss heavyweights FC Basel, one of the most successful clubs in the country.
Goldstars believe Schmid’s exposure to top-level football, combined with his tactical expertise and focus on player development, will be crucial to the club’s progress.
The appointment shows the club wants to build a strong team and be more consistent over the next two seasons under Schmid.
