Reigning Ghana Premier League champions Bibiani Goldstars have announced the departure of eleven players as part of the club's massive overhaul ahead of the 2025-26 season's campaign.
They released players include captain Godfred Kyei, Eric Bosomtwi, and Sadat Mohammed, joined by Alex Aso, Frank Amankwah, Michael Osei, Charles Gyamfi Kamara, Yaw Osei, Andrews Cobbinah, William Dankyi and former AshantiGold midfielder Stephen Banahene.
The club in a statement thanked the above-mentioned players for their immense contribution to the historic feat by clinching the Ghanaian top-flight league title for the first time during the 2024-25 season's campaign.
The management and technical team of Bibiani Goldstars believe the reshuffle is essential for club's campaign in the 2025-26 CAF Champions League and also their ambition of maintaining their domestic dominance.
Bibiani Goldstars have already announced the signing of Emmanuel Ankrah, Barimah Baah, Emmanuel Fosu Kyei, Emmanuel Addy, Kwadwo Bonsu, Francis Twene, Sampson Eduku, Emmanuel Agyei, Edward Agyemang, Emmanuel Agyenim Boateng, and Emmanuel Kontoh.
Coach Frimpong Manso is expected to integrate the new signings and fine-tune tactics as they begin pre-season in Accra later this month before the Champions League’s preliminary round of games.
