The Ghanaian superpower have reportedly lost their chief transfer target to the Sudanese giants in this ongoing January transfer window, report in the local media has claimed
Hearts of Oak have missed out on the services of Black Galaxies mercurial midfielder David Abagna Sandan to Sudanese heavyweights Al Hilal Omdurman, with the Real Tamale United linchpin set to pen a three-year deal with the Omdurman-based club.
The 24-year-old was the number one transfer target of the Accra-based side in their bid to reinforce their midfield options with his acquisition, but are now resigned to losing him after seeing their offers knocked back on countless times by his Ghanaian employers.
According to Ghanasoccernet.com, the former Ashanti Gold SC midfielder has left the camp of the home-based national team following their quarterfinals exit in the ongoing 2022 CHAN tournament in Algeria and is now in Sudan awaiting to pen a three-year deal with the 'Crescent' provided he passes his medical on Monday or Tuesday.
Hearts of Oak will now have to quickly shift their attention elsewhere should the former Was All Stars midfield supremo move to Al Hilal Omdurman this January.
Abagna made 8 appearances in league games, scoring 3 and assisting 1 for RTU in the ongoing Ghana Premier League 22/23 football season.
