Bofoakwa Tano captain, Saaka Dauda, has confirmed that he has been approached by Asante Kotoko SC over a possible transfer ahead of the new season.
The highly-rated forward has been a standout performer for Bofoakwa Tano in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League campaign, finishing as the club's top scorer with eight goals in 32 appearances.
Dauda revealed that negotiations between Bofoakwa and Kotoko are far advanced, with a deal likely to be concluded soon. He expressed his admiration for the Kumasi-based giants, stating that it would be a great honor to play for them.
“Yes, as of now, I have spoken with no one from Hearts but have received calls from Asante Kotoko. Kotoko is a big team, so I would really love to play for them.”
“Looking at the players, board, and owner, it is clear that this is a great team, and if the deal is completed, I will be grateful to God for providing me with such a big platform.”
However, the 24-year-old winger emphasized that he still has two years left on his contract with Bofoakwa Tano, meaning that Kotoko and his current club will need to come to an agreement before he can join the Porcupines.
