Highly-rated defender, Kofi Agbesimah has completed a move to Ghana Premier League champions FC Samartex 1996 in the ongoing summer transfer window, with official club announcement very imminent.
Agbesimah, finally sealed this switch after terminating his contract with giants Hearts of Oak- where he joined last summer but pushed for an exit right after the campaign with the reasons best known to the player.
The 27-year-old had an impactful five-year tenure with Bechem United, where he joined in 2018 and subsequently held the esteemed position of team captain for almost three seasons.
In the just-finished season, the lanky center-back was quiet impressive in the Rainbow colours having made 30 league appearances- starting in all those with a goal to his belt.
However, according to renowned journalist Shaban Mohammed, Kofi Agbesimah has now agreed to join champions FC Samartex on a two year deal pending official club announcement.
The Timber Giants are still in serious preparations towards the upcoming season and will face Cameroonian side TP Elect Sport FC in the first preliminary round of the 2024/25 CAF Champions League.
